Herbal Power Nutritional Tonic
The herbalists call the herbal tea as tonic infusions which are nutritious and can serve as good food which acts as a good medicine without any side effects and heals naturally.
The herbal tea which is in fact a highly nutritious tea made from herbals can be consumed as tonic to bring and preserve the health naturally. They nourish the body consistently by providing highly potent nutrients which include vitamins, minerals and other essentials. In ancient days, the people use to preserve these tonics to have them when there is scarcity of fresh and raw vegetables considering them as highly nutritional supplements.

• First of all, put half cup of dry herbs into a mason jar, if fresh herbs are to be used then they are to be gently simmered in the water for a couple of minutes so as to break the cell wall.
• Pour one quart of boiling water over the herbs in the jar.
• The jar is to be covered for preventing the herbals oil to evaporate into air.
• Now let it sit for more than 8 hours which allow water to extract the potency from the herbs.
• Strain and store the drink in refrigerator.
The so called tonic infusion is ready, some prefer to take it cold and some prefer warm.
The herbal tea can also be prepared from the roots and barks of some specific herbs. As the roots or barks have more strength than the stems, leaves and flowers, they need to be kept in simmer for at the least 15 minutes so that the softening can soften and help in the extraction of the nutrients in them. Tea made from these can be taken if deeper relaxation as they tend be more potent. Examples of herbs whose roots or barks can be best utilized are Burdock , Sassafras, Astragalus, Ginger and Ginseng. A combination of both tea made from flowers and leaves and the tea of roots and barks can make a vibrant and energetic drink.
